I've been working on Bitcoin protocol development since 2011, almost a decade of which working on Bitcoin Core, and later on other open source bitcoin protocol engineering projects.
I recently wrote a piece on MEVil in the bitcoin ecosystem, though your bot won't let me post a link to it :). In any case, through discussion of it I was pointed towards syscoin, which leaves me quite concerned about the potential for MEVil from Syscoin leaking to Bitcoin miners and causing centralization pressure there.
What, if anything, has syscoin done in its current protocol to prevent MEVil from syscoin to leak to Bitcoin miners, and what is on (or could be added to) the syscoin roadmap to avoid MEVil issues in the future?
We are designing the pow game on rollux layer 2 which can take into account some of your strategies related to using block hashes as seeds for ordering which should help as layer 1 isn’t really retail friendly so there’s less demand for mev (by design)
