OK what you are basically saying is that it is OK to download the monero block chain without tor but I should delete the p2pstate when I am done downloading it? Is that correct or did I misunderstanding it lol

Yeah 🤷‍♂ I mean if you download main part of blockchain over clearnet, you have nothing but huge file with publicly available data. There's nothing bad in it Deleting p2pstate is to avoid attempting to connect over tor to the same nodes that you used in clearnet

Ahaa I see what you mean... so in other words if I used the block chain I have downloaded on the clearnet and use it to connect my monero wallet than that would not be very private unless I delete the p2pstate?

I guess, monerod over tor is private enough even without clearing p2pstate Deleting it just makes "behavior analysis" more complicated as your node will search for peers "from scratch" instead of using the ready set of nodes
