I’m curious as to why 18 months. Where did that

timeframe come from? If Ampera has been in the works for years now (according to Tyler), why does it need 18 more months to get things going?

Isn’t the donation of Amp tokens from Flexa part of the initiative that is now called Ampera? That was > a year ago now (and assuming was contemplated long before that). Could be mistaken though.

If I recall correctly, the donation was to the Foundation specifically. As Bubby has mentioned, the Foundation is currently using some of that Amp to fund staking subsidies, and given the Ampera roadmap released today, it seems that it may be used as part of the upcoming grant program.

The protocol (now Anvil) has been in the works for a few years. This roadmap is for Ampera, which is the initiative to promote spending of digital assets.
