I think it has to do with them saving face and stop probing questions whether people are using their platform to launder money amongst other things. Once de shielded they can’t see where the funds came from in the first place. It’s kind of pointless really because you could just send un shielded to a wallet then send from that transparent wallet to binance. What are they going to do unless you’re actively sending a lot of money regularly. They just want to look like they are doing something to stop it
