Hey guys, My feeling is that with the launch of

fraxtal we finally have a product with broad mass market appeal. Many different ways for people to earn yield, eg by staking sfrax & sfrxeth, borrowing and lending on fraxlend including some v high yielding pools such as crvfrax. Or LPing in various pairs and farming yield using fraxswap and BAMM. Selling FXBs etc.

And fraxtal is very cheap and fast to use, with transactions under a cent.

All seems pretty solid for broad mass market adoption by normies. The timing is good now as well w a fresh new bull market building up in the next 6+ months.

Only thing is there is one big roadblock to normie adoption. And that is a high quality wallet w an intuitive UX, eg smth like Phantom wallet.

Not an expert in this area, but i imagine it should be possible to whitelabel an existing wallet and make all the preset settings required for one click access to fraxtal and all our products in a very intuitive and simple interface (w optional toggle for onchain degens like us).

Am hoping that this might be low hanging fruit for us, if we can find a HQ whitelabel wallet and making some small adjustments in the settings (eg chainID etc) and home screen (clearly laying out our most compelling products like sfrax, fpi and sfrxeth).

I agree 👍 We should manage to do incremental improvements for normies, while delivering the best of DeFi products imo. However some have a strong belief that catering to sofisticated users and protocol is best long term. Personally think investments in communication and UI/UX never can be wrong. Other protocols are run by normies if it is a DAO, so imo we should aim that the average man should be able to understand our products easily 🤷‍♂️ Sophisticated users probably also prefer ease of use and understanding, especially if they have to sell Frax products or something that builds on it.

Ya but wondering if this is sufficient normie friendly? One click installation? And you also would like easy access to sfrax, sfrxeth and fpi ao on your mobile home screen that offers v limited visual real estate

true, frax right now is not mobile friendly, but regarding rabby wallet is doing a good work for newbies, no need to add the assets, blockchain rpc etc

Search this chat for "grandma" and you'll find lots of discussions on this topic 👵 I don't think there's much debate a better UI/UX would be beneficial to bring in normies. However, there's debate as to priority and who should build it.
