private network. Is there any payment by Neuron for this? If this is subsidized in the light of business development I have no problem with that but clarity on this would be appreciated. What in the future with other private networks where Eric Piscini talked about? Is that revenue translated in de demand for hbar? @TheHbarBull could you discuss this topic in a video? Thanks!
Neuron is not paying for any of its testing at this time…because it’s testing. It has been running on the preview net and the test net. They have stated as such many times.
Thanks for the response. The private networks where Eric Piscini talked is interesting to know how that translates in demand for hbar.
If a company is looking for a private network, they were not going to use Hedera in the first place. The Hedera public network would not have been fit for purpose. I don’t think it changes HBAR demand. That’s like saying me not buying SOL is decreasing the demand for SOL - I wasn’t going to buy it anyway.
I think there are constructions possible to let parties pay for some license in the form of a NFT paid in hbar. Imo it would be really not loyal to investors if there would be no hbar demand for private networks. For years there has been support from community and investors, and when the tech is ready it would be used in a way where there would be no demand for hbar.
That makes zero sense. So you think Swirlds customers should pay a ransom to Hedera? The network is open source. So let’s say I run a company that sets up private Hashgraphs. Do I need to pay Hedera?
For investors Swirlds labs and Hedera are entities close together and are seen as 1. This is an absolute showstopper for me if this would be the case.
I really don’t want to sound like a dick, but if that is how you see it, then you (and anyone else who sees it this way) are not understanding how it works. They are separate businesses and any work Swirlds does consulting on private hashgraphs is not connected to Hedera. That is how it has always been set up - this is nothing new.
Technically you are right, from a moral standpoint I think it is wrong.
I don’t understand this thought process. Companies using private hashgraphs were never going to be Hedera customers. They are looking for a different solution. If anything, Swirlds would be brining in extra txs if these private hashgraphs use Hedera for auditing purposes.
The whole construction to split off the development work to Swirlds Labs and than have your own customer base is dubious imo.
Dubious?! It’s decentralization. I thought that’s what web 3 is all about.
