coming, is it safe to say you better not max out?
Does it mean that with a 10k limit you’d only be able to stake an additional 100 rewarded tokens if you had 9900 in that pool?

I think technically that will be yes. If the max is 10k re-staking your rewards might not work, since you are max out.

That sounds logical. When topping up without losing an epoch can be done manually, I'd go for one maxed out node and a small node to top up. If it is done automatically, then I'd divide funds evenly over 2 nodes and let them automatically compound for as long as possible. Depends on how it will be build technically.
