many ETN do you think were burned during this time using EIP1559?
The burned base fee is miniscule.... Won't be anything of note at this stage. What's more interesting is how much ETN hasn't been bridged yet...still alot on the legacy chain. Wonder how much will never get migrated over.
I'm interested in the community's assumptions because I know the exact amount)
They transfer coins from the old network quite a lot. By the way, how to do this? Where is the interface for this?
As Plankton linked...team built a Bridge to automatically bridge ETN from the legacy chain to the smart chain. It destroys them on the legacy chain by sending to the bridge address, then sends on he smart chain to an address derived from the private key bridged.
I did this with several offline wallets a week ago - was very smooth and nice. Now over to the new chain and MetaMask with a Trezor its soo cool to see the speed of the new chain. Did a few purchases on tradeogre and the speed of in / out now is just crazy fast!
I know how bridges work, thank you) Moreover, I constantly see transfer transactions to a new network in the blockchain. That's why I asked this question about the interface. It turns out that there is no direct interface for the transition, and the procedure itself is not accessible to every user due to its complexity. However, in the blockchain, transition transactions are the vast majority. This is where it doesn’t add up for me. There is silence in the chat, there is no clear interface, and transactions pour in one after another. Who are these people who are making the rather difficult transition from the old network to the new one? There are a lot of transactions. They literally transfer pennies often. This is all very strange...
My uninformed guess is that its all the ETN app wallets - 3-4 million registered users of the app (if I recall correctly)
This.. All wallets will migrate over eventually so regardless of their balance be it pennies or more will "migrate" ever .. so there's no strangeness there.
That's great Russel, so as you are familiar with blockchain bridges, you will know that for every transaction sent over the bridge on the legacy blockchain there is a corresponding contract transaction on the new Smart Chain. Fully transparent and auditable by anyone....the transactions on both chains even have the corresponding public address to make things easier for anyone checking. The developers did a great job! Regarding your point on what all the migration transactions are on the smart chain.....as Claes kindly mentioned above, the vast majority of the bridging at this stage is the my.electroneum wallets being moved over. 4million+ accounts (some empty, some with a little or alot of ETN).... that's done for users automatically as its a centralised wallet service. You might want to check out the teams update articles and consider following them on social media as updates often cover things like this (Links on electroneum.com) 👍 Mixed in with all those my.electroneum wallets being migrated, will be people using the bridge themselves using the command line wallet on the legacy blockchain... For people who are not able to use command line, the team even offer a migration service via the Paper Wallet Import on my.electroneum.com. So for users who stored their ETN on paper wallets and are not comfortable using CLI, they can use a very easy user interface to move them over. (although its worth noting the ETN will be bridged into your KYC/AML wallet, so keep that in mind). You are welcome to read more on the system in the developer resource the team provided. https://developer.electroneum.com/migration-to-smart-chain/overview Things can often be overwhelming for people new to blockchains, always a good idea to read up on how things work and ask questions for anything you are unsure on. 👍
