accounting firm to say that the reserves are legit but they weren't, couldn't I sell you a gold backed token backed by proof of reserves?

I guess this is where regulation comes in though

There will always be both off chain and on chain components for some use cases. But for each one of these there are 10 use cases that are deterministic in their nature and Chainlink will really enable the playing field for them to implement it
