Could anyone elaborate on how central banks adopting Quant would

benefit the QNT token's value? If these institutions were to white label Overledger, wouldn't this potentially diminish the token’s value? Additionally, the lockup license model presents complexities from an accounting perspective. For instance, if a company invests $5 million in QNT tokens for a license, but the token’s value drops by 40% after a year, this could result in a significant financial shortfall. How does this model remain viable in light of such potential discrepancies and tax implications?

If whitelabelled tokens are still needed for usage, nothing changes on this front. Token is necessary for use of every aspect of overledger. Regarding your 2nd question, token lockups are for licensing and are not held by the client so no tax implications for them

Thanks! Could you please elaborate on how whitelabelled tokens continue to be essential for accessing Overledger and how this ensures sustained demand for the QNT token? Additionally, since tokens used for lockups are not held by the client, how does this affect financial reporting and revenue recognition for the company? How does Quant address potential value fluctuations to maintain the financial stability of the licensing model? What strategies are in place to protect the token’s value over time and mitigate the impact of market volatility?

Every transaction on the network is signed and validated using QNT whether it be whitelabeled or not. Not sure what the actual transaction fee % is, but there is a small fee. I’m also pretty sure they would have some sort of rev share with strategic partners who choose to white label. As far as the licensing model, the customer isn’t investing in QNT. Quant basically defers the revenue by locking the tokens for a year and when the year is over, Quant can then recognize the revenue by selling the token or hold it on their balance sheet. If the value of the token falls and the entity renews their license, they have to lock up more QNT because the value of the license in USD is unchanged. So they have to lock 40% more QNT for the same license because the value of the token is 40% less than the previous year. The result in a growing network is higher price floors and higher ceilings. That’s my understanding at least.

Given the potential risks associated with fluctuations in the value of QNT tokens, could you please explain how the company mitigates the issue where a significant drop in token value might result in far less cash available when renewing licenses, despite having recorded higher revenue and paid taxes the previous year? Additionally, since revenue is recorded in USD at the time of the license sale when QNT tokens are locked (and not yet sold), how does the company manage the financial risk of potentially being unable to cover tax obligations if the token's value decreases? Lastly, how come the original whitepaper has not been fully adhered to and has not been updated to reflect any changes in the business model?

It is the official group, but we're unqualified to comment on tax related issues. Admins here are volunteers, not employees. Also, regarding the whitepaper has been pretty much completed, as far as I'm aware. Things have evolved a lot and grown bigger since then as well

It is. This group is run by community members for a while now. We don't have the answers, unfortunately.

Well if I were running the treasury, I would use futures contracts to hedge against the risk of adverse price fluctuations. But i dont know if that’s what they do

I’m assuming the last part of ur question is concerning community gateways. We have speculated at great length as to why they aren’t released yet, but we are not privy to the exact reason. The most popular reasoning is lack of regulatory clarity. We do believe they can and will eventually release the gateways, but it hasn’t happened yet. Everyone here is as eager as u are but we also have many others reasons to be excited and hopeful: Rosalind, RLN, and Agora.

gateways are related to the satp beside other things (regulation,…). the development of the satp is still in progress…
