to ask this but I'm unsure where else. I'm trying to understand the anticipated move from POW to the hybrid POS / POW conscensus model. I watched some videos on it and my understanding is as follows: The POW component is more of a fail safe consensus layer, in case there's failure of POS conscenus the blockchain can still continue on in some sort of safety mode using POW. Meanwhile, the POS conscensus is determinend by some community governance? I have more followup thoughts / questions, but want to make sure I've understood things correctly first.
Ageless For example, just to create a hypothetical example. In solano when its conscensus crashes and needs to be restarted (by human input?), with zcash we in effect would achieve an equivilant state to solano when POS conscensus fails for only some new features that POS enables for zcash. But the POW consensus would still allow the core backbone features to still work (such as simple transfers between addresses on the blockchain).
