No one here knows for sure.
Regardless there is no need/reason for them to promote amp imo
Just a simple « Buy AMP and be part of the adventure »
Remove the words " Buy Amp and" and you got yourself a deal
I tend to agree, but sometimes i think if people wouldn't even know that Flexa is backing (some of) the payments they make, how would they even get to know they could invest in Amp? People would only stumble per coincidence or deeper research on Amp... And sure social media is doing its thing aswell, but...
Couple important points. 1, amp is a defi token that people earn an apy on by staking. If people didn’t want to stake, less would be staked and the apy would go up. Essentially solving the need of amp to ever be marketed by flexa. Same way defi protocols that offer yield don’t need to market. The numbers do it for them. They also have a ton staked currently to their network. 2. Flexa doesn’t need to let people know amp is collateralizing payments. The users or merchants. It’s pretty irrelevant given point 1.
I thought part of the pitch to merchants was that they could have fee free payments. Given the 1% fee currently imposed, the only way to be fee free is for merchants to stake amp themselves (and there by negating the 1% fee)
The main pitch is not that. It’s that they can do nothing and accept all payments for 1%. It’s certainly a possibility for anyone to stake and offset fees that way and would be cool for a big company to do it but I feel like that is way down the road if we get to that point
