interested and have a few qs:
1) does anyone know how the remaining protocol inflation (remaining 250m tokens) will come online? or may this not happen?
2) does the protocol have a treasury or foundation? is it this wallet (https://etherscan.io/address/0xc832588193cd5ed2185dada4a531e0b26ec5b830)
3) are there any good dashboards to track good phala metrics?
hello, Phala's treasury is visible at these two addresses: Khala: https://khala.subscan.io/tools/charts?type=treasury_income Phala: https://phala.subscan.io/tools/charts?type=treasury_income As for the new tokens generated daily, these are exclusively for "mining" rewards, so if you are a PHA holder and have delegated tokens, considering that the PHA supply is capped at 1 billion, your share of the market cap will continue to grow and you will not be "diluted" by inflation. PHA inflation is scheduled to decrease by 25% every 180 days. That address you indicated is the smart contract on the ethereum side that holds the tokens for the bridge.
thanks for this - very helpful!! on the revenue side what are the best metrics that you or anyone else look at? e.g., tokens give out (approx 14% per year to miners) vs income paid to the network??
Yes thanks! Is there a place to see how much is spent on these things? I guess (ofc debatable) that miner rewards are also a cost to the network… is there a place to see how much miner rewards are paid out (or is this just the 14% annual inflation?) On the flip side is there also a place to see the amount of the things you mentioned that replenish the treasury? Ideally just an overal pnl board with those two things!
Thanks for this! cant quite find the approved spending yet but will keep looking on the APR on the analytical page (assume you referring to the 14% ish on the dune dashboard you linked) is this not just the staking return from token emissions from the network minus miners fees? how does the protocol capture some of the value? or is this people paying external capital to access phalas services?? maybe am misunderstanding the tokeneconomy
sorry yeah im with you on that point... but where is it you can see the revenue of the network after all costs... in one number?
yeah i did but im not 100% sure this is the same thing... unless only profit is accumulated in the treasury and its only demoninated in PHA? so by that logic - since 2022 - phala has had a profit of $6.6m (using current price * treasury balance)? this would mean that (approx.) after token emissions to miners and other expenditures the network has captured this amount of value from those paying to use the network
