What could go wrong if ECC employees have enough ZEC

Controlling supply has no effect on the network governance for PoW. PoW requires you to buy hardware and electricity to get 51% of the hash rate. It is much more expensive and difficult to achieve without being noticed. PoS you just need to own 51% of the supply then you can vote any change and enforce any rule set through vote. With shielded address, you can do that with nobody noticing that a single actor controls the supply.

That's not how bid/ask markets work. It shouldn't need to be said that you can't but 300mdd worth without moving the price.
