I would recommend running your own node instead of using the default node in the app
How do I do this?
You’ll need to get a computer with >300 GB of space available preferably running Linux and download the official Monero Gui.
Is there a problem if I use dualboot?
Only a problem if you plan on using the node whilst using the other (main OS) at the same time. If you use the official GUI, you could just run a local node using the local settings. Or you can just use the command line. Other options would be going the Docker route or installing a VM to run it inside.
No. Windows is just a hassle because of antivirus software not allowing the Monero gui.
