But I think the community is reluctant to vote brand new people into the DIF, where they could have considerable influence. If you want to run for the DIF, I'd suggest you spend the next few months engaging with the community, here, on Discord, in the forum etc., make some videos, show your face, so people learn who you are and what makes you tick. Then apply next year.

I've actually been following Dash for quite some time, I'm not sure if this channel existed, the main ones were always Discord and the Forum, I was trying to contribute in Dash but back then the price of DASH was at $1,000+ and 5 DASH were required to upload a proposal so it was impossible for me at that time, however I did hold a meetup thanks to some contributions from the community on DashDonates. So due to those limitations I was working on other projects like Operations Lead for an NFT Marketplace and Country Manager in Peru for an L1. I was planning to submit a proposal to start the growth of DASH here in Peru since the ecosystem is quite large, I know numerous local startups with which we could connect and reinforce the efforts that have been made in Latam, but the idea is to do things that are sustainable over time, which is why after learning that there were these elections I planned to apply for the position, but I understand that there is little time left if only the current cycle counts
