Devs here weren’t following kaspa, IIRC some people who hold kas and erg were asking if what they were saying about their genesis block made sense which led to the discussion on Twitter. But was just asking questions no problems really Not sure if they found all the bits of their missing data but found this discussing the drama > From what I understand, Alex (Erg dev), called out Yonatan about the invalid transactions/missing ledger data. Yonatan responded and the Kaspa community came together to put all the pieces back together. > Now, I'm not exactly sure what happened with technicalities, but it seems like Kaspa launched then there was a problem (network split). The Kaspa miners and developers found an empty transaction that everyone agreed upon should be the new Genesis block. Miners all switched over to the "correct" agreed upon network and all coins mined from the switch went to a specific address. Then it was put up for a community vote to burn those coins. > Yonatan tried to make a point that historical correctness is a red herring and not very important where the first point of trust is, as long as going back a given amount of time can always be verified. > If Yonatan would have responded to Alex with something that was utter nonsense or complete fraud then Alex would of absolutely said something.
