running 6 validators using 50k each with rest of the million cap filled with proxy stakers, or all 300k in 1 validator with rest 700k filled with proxy stakers?

There is likely considerable strategies that come in to place with staking and nodes, with regards to competition. It is yet to be seen what best strategies are. But I would suggest reading about other tendermint projects while we wait for more specifics
