as described in the workaround paragraph.

Now that it won’t be implemented before MTL, why would one use a solution which the MTL is specifically designed for?

For my own understanding. If the MTL comes now, it's cool as users who are selling their collectibles in the market will be able to change GEMS to fiat. Then later when the NFT>OMI is available, people who want to sell their NFT, will have an option to buy and sell their NFTs for OMI, or maybe use GEMS to buy NFTs ,then sell for OMI. In order hand, the OMI can be moved in and out of the app, which is kind of favourable to crypto users.

Hello There, MTL comes before GEMS to Fiat. The money transmitted licence is needed before you can convert to GEM to fiat.
