Now that polkadot have released approximate dates for parachain auctions

with motion 118, will reef be planning to participate in one of them or does some more criteria need to be filled first?

I know. I’m asking based on the polkadot twitters pinned tweet to see if that’s made any difference. I understand why reef may not want to participate in a kusama auction. But it still on the roadmap and there hasn’t been much clarity on when it makes to plug into polkadot.

I hate to ask the same question, but what needs to happen for it “make sense” for reef to plug into polkadot. I love you guys and i’m here all the time. I understand if y’all can’t reveal sensitive info, but I’d really like to know.

That's a great question, and I'm not totally sure to be able to answer it properly. DOT could offer a lot when Reef was just simply a project hoping to get a parachain. Reef is now a standalone chain, built also using substrate, which makes it fairly similar to what Polkadot can offer. Getting a parachain is highly expensive, and I can assume the ratio between the cost of this and the actual benefits Reef as a chain could get is an important factor.

I believe this question has been asked a lot and the admins have said that since Reef has launched its own blockchain, the polkadot parachain is a less priority but still a possibile goal
