- so really, with the number of users, the increasing utility of OMI - buybacks won't do anything that natural usage won't do. most interactions cause a burn as it is - why do you need buybacks with these features? And yes they're concerned with the drops - not the token - because the token is necessary for the drops - it just so happens they can be used for profit - but the company's focus is collectibles on the blockchain - not OMI. It's not that they don't care - it's not their primary business model.
Buybacks don't increase users, don't increase licenses, upgrade the app or get new content / games..etc - the token exists and works, they have to worry about their company and brand.
I get all that and i disagree about buybacks not having an imapct on prices... Regardless, asking clarifications on David's recent comment regarding buybacks is a legitimate question and also his answer also speaks to the team's level of commitment as a whole. As an investor, it's a good question and an important one.
