Onboarding a friend, sending them the 0.003 ETH for Staker

To send ETH there needs to be at least 21k g a s allocated, else it fails. Metamask should propose a 21k g a s limit, but it is best to always double check.

I tried a couple times swapping using uniswap & 1inch, had the same problem, I had enough g a s but for some reason the transaction failed but ate my g a s, how can I prevent that happening?

You need to increase the g a s limit. Just puting a higher bid for the g a s price doesn't address this problem at all. It appears that Metamask fails to do a proper estimation on g a s cost. This was a common problem recently when Metamask would not allocate enough g a s for ERC-20 transfer and people lost millions in out of g a s errors (while miners found gold with that bug).

Hard to know unless you simulate the computing using the currect g a s cost for each operation. Or check the consumption on recent similar transaction using etherscan. But increasing the g a s limit does not affect the fee. It is only an allocated amount, not a consumed amount. So, you can safely increase for 50% without worries. But need to have it covered on the balance.
