history is too heavy weight...think about how they can grow and scale? What amount of processing will be required in 5 years?
Interesting article regarding this decentralization question: https://cryptobriefing.com/how-decentralized-is-solana/
Very interesting, thanks for sharing
You're welcome, neutral and thorough technical but easy to understand article
Good article, but saying its better than bitcoin isn't a big deal as they say referring mining pools. I've always argued that bitcoin can be taken down by any lwrge institution or government due to the ability to source processing power. The point of proof of stake is that it makes it more expensive to gain control of the network when the market cap gets passed a threshold as you physically need to buy coins or entice staking to gain a controlling vote. Both bitcoin and ether are proof of work. So saying sol is better than them isn't saying much. The point with all of this is not looking at how things are now but how a system can cope in the future...ie scalability. The fact the requirements are so high to process transactions in SOL, even now, mean that in 5 years it will be even worsez this inhibiting the natural decentralization of PoS systems
But hardware's power with lower cost increases over time... He talks about that in the article...
