we perceive it?
thats an example of bad sci fi. It is not possible to reach the event horizon of a black hole because time dilation causes time to stretch out to infinity. Also a black hole is not a 2d object like shown in sci fi where there is an in and an out. It is a infinitly deep gravity well where matter has gotten packed so tightly together that escape is impossible.* *well black holes actually dissipate over time through hocking radiation
Lol okey so maybe not the best example, but technically still impossible to answer ^^ To be fair I did write "as we perceive it" ^^
we can answer. on the other side of a black hole is more of the universe. There is a super massive one at the center of our galaxy and the earth revolves around it aproximately once every 250 million years. So 125 million years ago the earth was on the other side :)
You're no fun :(
I love physics
If you can't reach the event horizon, black holes would never grow. Objects appear to freeze only from an outside observers pov.
Not reaching it is unimportant to its growth. Your mass is still there even if you don't reach it.
But you do reach it. It only appears that you don't to observers.
do you? if it takes an infinite amount of time then you don't ever actually get there. Of course it is semantics since you do get close enough to matter.
It doesn't take an infinite amount of time. It oy appears that wayfrom the outside. Relativity.
The truth is out there. 👽
