to the platform if that would mean you can save the government dollars to hire a datascientist?
the ocean network could revolutionize how scientist's datasets become interconnected and more meaningful
I mean, certainly if this data is available for everyone is better for the community instead of having it locked on a server and deleted 15 years later. Some fields and journals might request data to be published, but it’s not feasible to submit 2TB of data to a journal or anywhere else, so storage is a big issue. Microscopy raw data sets can be huge. Certainly, it would be great if everything is out there available ( if it was possible) and whether your could profit from it or not or token holders it’s in the end just a matter of legal discussions
yeah perhaps the value of the data could pay for its storage cost in a fair and sustainable way that is not for profit but to sustain it and for common good
