stakes ends after eth 2.0 is working, will the unstake fees accumulate in eth and eth 2.0 or both?
The fee you pay is whatever is in effect at the time. Just one fee per transaction (thankfully).
I thought the fees were the accumulations of the eth network interaction with hex contract for the length of the stake for doing something and this was the reason unstake is much more expensive than staking
The fee reflects the work the system has to do *when it does it*. In ending a stake, all that 'work' is done then, when you end-stake. It's not done piecemeal while the stake is running.
Thanks, do you know the technical reason this end of stake work cost more based on staking lock time?
Interest is calculated per day, so more g a s is consumed for longer stakes. And thanks to unimaginably stupid decisions by Vitalik&co the g a s cost went up 12x in two years.
