Currently, Moonriver is running in a reduced performance state, at something like 10% of its expected transaction throughput capacity. This is needed to help us with troubleshooting underlying networking issues and allowing us to work on performance optimizations. With recent events (SushiSwap announcement, Binance listing, and so on), there is a very high demand to engage with the network. Moonriver uses a market-driven gas model, where transactions with higher gas price get prioritized. Therefore, we recommend users increase the gas price if they want their transaction to be prioritized. Read more here: https://bit.ly/MOVRUpdate202109
So basically moon river is just a test for moon beam? when will it run at full capacity then ?.
Glimmer (GLMR) is the utility token of the Moonbeam Network, Moonbeam’s primary deployment on the Polkadot network that serves as a developer-friendly parachain. Moonriver (MOVR) is the utility token of the Moonriver Network, Moonbeam’s Kusama deployment that serves as a “CanaryNet” to the Moonbeam Network. Other projects will be able to test their code base on Moonriver, and only then deploy to Moonbeam. Moonriver & Moonbeam allows developers on Ethereum to deploy on Kusama & Polkadot using all the same tools as when developing on Ethereum. Moonriver & Moonbeam are two projects like sister and brother, they are very interconnected and will help each other equally.
