Guess what added HEX?! https://tangem.com/ This is a cold wallet you have

to tap to your phone to get access to. In lieu of hex19 pay day this is something I sent a bit of hex to when I saw it had an eth address. They just added support for hex. Only way to access your crypto is by tapping it to your smart phone.

If a security person has more information that would be great. All I know for sure is we don't have a seed phrase when we tap it to the phone but it's all on chain :/

Private keys cannot be imported or exported from Tangem Notes under any circumstance, they are only known to the chip itself. No backup possible — by design. Each Tangem Note creates its own private keys and can never disclose them. The value is completely tied to the physical chip. Loss, theft, or destruction of a Tangem Note will result in loss of funds. Hey that sounds perfect!

You lost the Swiss bank account in your head feature….now you have Swiss bank account on a confiscatable thing. Sounds like they got rid of a feature to me. May be good for some people…I like the idea of 12, 24 or 48 words being my key. Everything is a trade off I guess…I like the seed phrase being memorizable

The problem is, if they confiscate your address via mobile, the bank account in your head doesn't do anything since they got it on paper. Short of you getting rid of the threat, there's no way to regain access of that. It's at least a good intermediary, and, burn wallet. But I do agree about liking having a seed phrase

It's interesting, but it looks like a nightmare waiting to happen. It's no better then carrying your seed words on a piece of paper in your wallet. If you lose custody of it you lose everything. Device failure means zero chance of recovery.

Would never carry something like that on me in general. However it would be good to know on the move if it ever were to take water damage. More for keeping in the safe.
