I know there are 3 different types of nodes. Are there pros and cons?
Will Constellation or Node Army publish step-by-step instructions for setting up main net nodes, whether it is VPS or own hardware? I'm wondering specifically about instructions for Windows 10 Pro or Windows Server (64 bit of course)
Anyone?
you can be sure there will be detailed information and it will be made easy to implement
Go to their chat https://t.me/nodearmy and website...🪖 https://node.army (generally on UTC timezone but occasionally on Night Patrol)
The website has the answers
Website seems focused on linux-based cloud Server platforms. I see two links for Windows applications but no explanation of what these are used for nor how they're incorporated into a node build.
Node Army is helping noobs get more comfortable with the mechanics and/or offering node sharing. If you want info on running a node off of your own hardware the directions are not yet released but when closer to mainnet, will be published. We know: nodes need minimum hardware (via a VPS or a home/hard machine). The minimums are small. 4 CPU cores, 8GB RAM, 160GB disk space Majority of node ops are using virtual servers but is NOT a requirement of mainnet 2.0 operators.

Thanks! Thinking of using 3-4 HP ProDesk Micro PCs to keep power consumption to a minimum. They use 55-60 watts each at max load.
Nodes run on Linux The links to windows apps on the site are since you would need: • an app to create SSH Keys • an app as the client to connect to your cloud instance hosting the node There are video demos to show you how to use each in the set up of, and connection to a virtual machine and then the deployment of a node. By all means contact on the channel for support
