Depends what you want to do with it, I've got most of mine staked on L1, the rest is on L2 doing the same but the DAO is coming soon & maybe network staking (I may be wrong on that though) maybe just wait til the DAO comes out & see what's what then, there's nothing to stop you staking it right now though on whichever layer you're on

I have nothing to do with boba. My goal is earn more boba thru staking only. Is DAO only for L2 only?

I'm not a team member & it isn't live yet so 🤷‍♂️ maybe wait til it's live & make your decision then
