So does anyone know why the Sergey dumps stopped?

I'd love to say it's because the network is ready to launch staking, etc. However the last year has me assuming they received a letter from uncle Gary. Won't you believe it, it's just our luck

Ugh... he should be supporting Chainlink, it's literally the least like a "financial product" of anything. It just pays people for providing data, there's no interest payments or anything

By the way do you have an opinion on the significance of Chainlink 1.0.0 that came out recently?

While it's interesting that they've changed course on the weekly distributions, I can't think of why they would stop or how that would mean staking is ready or whatever. Maybe their dump coordinator has been out of the office

I don't know either. I remember reading somewhere that Sergey had worked out a deal with one of the projects that he would pay them monthly to use Chainlink, presumably to cover node costs. Maybe that is no longer an issue so the dumps are no longer necessary

Hmm not sure about Sergey paying someone to use chainlink. I do remember them paying to be the only oracle project at some conference... Really pissed off API3 🤣 anyway a big portion of the "dumps" are node payments and presumably nodes still want paid, so not sure what's going on

I'm certain of it, it was one of the major DeFi projects, they had to all vote yes or no to switch to Chainlink and it was in the proposal
