👍🏻 I need to sell some DFI to convert back to fiat. What’s the simplest way if I can’t transfer back to the exchange?

/Are you a customer with Cake? You can offload USDC ETH BTC through cake.

I am a customer with cake. My DFI are currently staked on cake. Only swap options that seem to be available are DFI > dASSETS. I can’t exchange for USDC, ETH or BTC.

download the defichain wallet and send to it, there you can swap to other dCoins and send back. It's a work around.

I have the DeFiChain light wallet. Though not sure how that helps? If I swap to other dcoins in the light wallet and transfer back to Cake I can still only exchange the dcoins for other dcoins. Am I missing something?

yes you are missing something. l thought same thing at first. But you can swap to dBTC for instance. Then send your dBTC to your Cake BTC "Defichain" address. You;ll notice your other coins like BTC will have two options for send or receive. Defichain or Native coin network. So sent to your BTC defichain address and then when there send out to your exchange using the coins native block chain. Cake is in effect unwrapping your D coins to their native networks as a bridge. It works the other way around also.

Thanks David, can I clarify? You’re saying transfer DFI from Cake to defichain light wallet, swap DFI to dBTC then transfer dBTC to my exchange? Is that right?

no you missed a step. dBTC will only work on Defichain. so send it BACK to Cake. You will see a button for the Defichain network address for your BTC. It's for wrapped BTC otherwise dBTC. when it arrives then send out out to your preferred exchange using the regular BTC network. That unwraps it for you.

otherwise simple way is be patient and prolly have your exchange accepting DFI deposits in a day or two
