Ok, is it ok to count on gas fees getting

lower in mid 2022 when planning a staking ladder? Has RH commented on this?

I honestly don't understand Ethereum's play on getting miners out of their system. They make it more difficult to solve a riddle to make a block is what I'm understanding. Why not just reduce the reward?

eip 1559 was hurtful to miners in a big way. They started throwing away some of the miners reward making it less profitable

they are not interested in doing the miners wishes. They just need time to fix the code. They are making a new system. It is not proof of stake as we will see in pulse chain. It is actually new. The devs seem to move slow, but they are creating something different.

I guess that didn't work. Miners will operate as long as there is a profit. Making it more painful to miners will just succeed in them buying more capacity to pollute the planet. Where does it end?

eip1559 was game theory to make the fee more stable and it failed. It was not a goal to get rid of miners or reduce fees. It had a goal to pump the holders bags with deflation burning. So far it has worked, but is not what users generally want. Eth devs will discard miners as soon as comfortable with the new code

I can't pretend to understand Eth and their decisions. I've got a good understanding in IT and application development and now blockchain and learning every day. What I don't really understand is how POW protocol has been allowed to exist for so long as it's really a total waste of resources. Let BTC have it and die with it. If Eth can't solve it let them die too. We need to be a better protocol and that's why I'm here in Hex/PLS

I am a proof of work miner for 4 years. The part of running people transaction is almost no computer power compared to the waste of try to solve the math riddle for getting the new coin. We could run 10 million transactions a second with the eth network with its amazing million computers around the world. Instead we run only a few. It is simply a bad design not made for mass adoption, and not made for the eventuality of when eth coin would be so high that the eth fee per transaction would sky rocket.

"It is simply a bad design not made for mass adoption,": yes, and yet it's production code. If you are running a mining operation you need to look elsewhere for your future pay day.

I have found hex. I sold many mining rigs, and am dedicated to tshares for income like mining but none of the headaches

Cool. The name "hex.is.the.way" is a fitting name. Congrats. I salute your efforts

Bear market generally reduces fees by >100x, so yes, may become cheap in 2022.
