I think Audius has too much focus on remixing and

DJs and not enough on new original music! I've also left some feedback on the discord about the channels - there's discord community channels for visual-artists, pets, mental-health. but nothing that has a focus on MUSIC? Where's the channels for discussing instruments, musicians or music production?

Then why does the Audius awards have NO categories for alternative, rock, etc? Only EDM, Rap, Bass and DJ sets! It is TOTALLY the case! I wouldn't be saying it otherwise! 🖖🏼

Just because those genres aren’t big enough to trend YET, doesn’t mean it’s “not a platform for everyone who loves music”. We, like all the EDM artist, need to build hat WE want to see on Audius and be supportive. There is a Folk genre, and there will be others as more artist join, but it’s hardly exclusive

I mean that’s what the General chnl is for. Music is the given, they’ve had to carve out those other channels so it’s not all producer talk and pluggin this and mix technique that. But ofc that’s always welcome
