Hi tim I just want to know how this platform works in remote locations such as towns or villages? Does helium need existing isp infrastructure to work. Or does it have its own internet connections?

Hotspots need a WiFi or ethernet connection to provide LoRaWAN coverage. For a remote area, satellites can help a lot with backhaul

So it works of the existing systems and isp providers or ADSL providers? In terms of using satellites in remote locations is that something I would have to arrange before setting up the helium hotspot. Also can recommend where i can read up on all this info. Many thanks for you help

Correct, you will need to have an established WiFi or ethernet source before setting up your Hotspot. Decentralized WiFi may come to the Helium Network at a later date
