yeah, it's all about timing. I think they realized that since Eth's development efforts is such a shit show then they had to time to do a better Uni. Feature creep is killer though. I did software dev for 15 years during the pre dot com bubble when angel investors were throwing money into everything. I worked for sweat equity and we got mentioned on CNN SmartMoney. Sadly, the bubble bursted and I lost all that sweat equity ~ 15% share of the company over the period of 1 year and we couldn't afford to run the servers and pay for the data feeds. Learned a big lesson then. Timing was about 6 months short. Luckily I had a day job.
