in my metamask, but what is confusing for me is that I see it on my ETH adress and not the polkadot.js adress I used. I just try to understand how this works, did it automatically assign those to my eth adress when I switched the network on polkadot.js to moonbase alpha?
You have contributed via polkadot js, but you use ethreum style address for rewards, as Moonbeam is fully compatible with ethereum. You need connect to Moonbeam network. https://docs.moonbeam.network/tokens/connect/metamask/
Ok….still dont understand how I can see my balance in a totally different ethereum adress that is not associated with my contribution…will try to read through the documents
You provided this address yourself. you need to remember where you copied it from. maybe you have a ledger or trezor? or some other wallet? multiple metamask accounts?
It is my adress in metamask I always use. I think it then happened when I added the network. But how would it know my contribution….did it ‘speak’ to the polkadot.js extension when I added the network?
Do you see your GLMR address and it doesn't look like your metamask address?
I see my glmr reward when My metmask adress is connected, so I assume this is my glmr adress? Sorry dont want to waste your time with my lack of understanding. I will read up more….all that matters is that I have my rewards :)
Yes. if there is your reward there, then it means it is the right address.
