It seems to me that many of the people posting

here are so short sighted and chase fast money that they are unable to see further into the future than a few months.

The tech behind privacy coins is solid. Their acceptance, use and spread in the world takes time. If you can take a minute of your time away from composing your next rant about how it's unfair that you are not a multi-millionaire yet then look up the chart of Bitcoin on coinpaprika.com. Set the time range from 2008 to 2013. What do you see?

In the autumn of 2010 the price of Bitcoin was exactly what the price of ARRR was in 2020. Around $0.06. In the summer of 2011 it went up to $22 then fell back to $2.26 by November 2011. Jesus, that's a 90% drop you'd say, it will never recover. Yet the price recovered and by April 2013 it went up to $161. In November 2013 the price of BTC first crossed the $1k line.

If you consider that Pirate chain was created 10 years after Bitcoin and you are willing to zoom out your time range from the paycheck to paycheck default view you got used to in your 9-5 job you can draw the analogue.

But Ben, there are thousands of altcoins in circulation. what makes you think that Pirate Chain will be the winner? - you'd ask.

Because it has the superior tech and a dedicated crew behind it.

If you think that superior tech is not enough then let's take another example: Linux
Linux grew out from being the project of a single university student back in the early 1990's to the engine behind Android, your car's navigation system, the software that Dreamworks, Pixar, and Weta are using on their machines in their studios to over 96% of the webservers in the world. Why, because it was a free and open source solution that every programmer could tinker with and there was no central authority to stop them.

I know it's hard to keep your spirits high. If I haven't lived through the 2018 Bitcoin crash I would probably feel pretty depressed now as well. But whenever I have doubts I zoom out a bit then look at my stash of different privacy coins and I exercise patience. I think that you should do the same. Or exit at a loss and chase the next doggie coin fad. The choice is yours.
