Depends on the amount. Cheapest gas fees are with Uniswap v1 on Ethhex.com which is about 3X cheaper in gas compared to v2. You can only swap against ETH on v1 and there is not much liquidity, so it's only good for ~$500 buys or you will get too much slippage compared to Uniswap v2. Otherwise you can swap against ETH on Uniswap v2, which uses less gas than swapping against USDC. For larger orders you should use an aggregator DEX like matcha.xyz or 1inch.io which will get you the best price with the least slippage, but the gas fees can be higher than using Uniswap directly. Swapping against ETH also dosen't require an open token approval for unlimited funds from your wallet, like it swapping against ERC20's does, so you save on the approval gas fee and it's safer. https://etherscan.io/tokenapprovalchecker
