So after diving into the $ROSE ecosystem I have a

hard time understanding the utility of the token.

First of all, in Europe for example, the GDPR is in direct competition with the project. Why use $ROSE if in any case the GDPR is there?
The GDPR is clear, for a non-legitimate use of personal data, a free & explicit consent of the user is required.

The deletion of data also poses a legal problem.
We can want a company to stop using our data, phone address...
but sometimes they have legal or accounting frameworks that require them to keep traces.

Another more complex case. The $ROSE token allows to know who has access to our data but this as long as the application is linked to the token.
The control will not necessarily be present on all the internal data of the applications.
Also the use of the token does not protect in case of data reprocessing, once the data desynchronized from the token, the use of it remains free.

Your data is lucrative, and the integration of the $ROSE ecosystem for it to be effective must be deeply implemented in the applications.
I don't see companies going to such lengths to end up having to pay to use some of the data they used to have for free.

This is only my point of view, but the project remains utopian and will soon be stuck in the face of the realities of the field.

Why too much. People try to share bad news about rose?

Let’s say you want to get your DNA sequenced to see your ancestry / possible genetic correlated disesases etc… would you go to a company that stores your data on their servers or would you opt for one that gives you ownership of your data by using the Oasis network as a medium?

This is also true for most services regarding sensitive personal information. It has large applications in the medical field, but can also be used for KYC services and similar.

Also it isn’t just for personal data. Let’s say you acquire a lot of data to train neural networks: how can you sell that data while mantaining ownership? With Oasis you can do that. The same can be said for most marketing agencies, they can feed the raw polling data into the Oasis network, while preventing anyone to access the raw data but they can allow to make calculations based on it for a revenue.

No one can predict the future, Bitcoin was supposed to be the “currency” of the future, now it’s more of a store of value like gold rather than an exchange currency

Rose is a good project with many use cases, what will be the most used cannot be predicted

Plus it offers all standard smart contract functionalities so it would be a ETH, AVAX, SOL rival with extra features on top

Imo its the private smart contract, people dont realize it but businesses need to be able to process and store data in private way. Smart contrat can be usefull for many things but entirely public is a corporation issue in the end.

It’s may give value to the company but not the token, the partnership doesn’t have any utility on the token

Of course it does have utility on the token, every operation on the Oasis network is done through the token usage, I can’t tell if you’re trolling at this point
