Hey guys, I’m a Hexican and I saw some people

on twittter talking about a HEX security telegram.

Here’s my question… I got a hardware ledger and I connect that ledger to my current MM account.

When I’m on my laptop it requires me to use the Hardware Ledger to confirm the transaction, but when I get on my 2nd computer (desktop), it allows me to easily make transaction using the same MM account and without confirming with the hardware ledger.

Does this make sense? I want to make it where every transaction is requiring my hardware ledger

Should I go ahead and delete my phone app or since I’ve already done so is it best to just move my funds to a new MM account. I have 3 staked as well

That’s what I thought I did where i migrated my seed into my Ledger and now it asks for confirmation on my ledger before transacting, but it doesn’t ask for confirmation on my 2nd computer. I’ll review the video now. Thx again

I imported my seed phrase in my Ledger. Deleted my MM on computer. Opened a new MM on same computer. Connected/Linked my Hardware wallet so my computer no longer has the previous MM account (it has new one + hardware wallet). Now in this computer it asks for confirmation when transacting. But in my 2nd computer I still have my old MM account (which was inputted into my ledger) on it, and I was able to transact without connecting ledger

MM will let you transact if the seed phrase has been entered to log into the wallet

from remote attacks yes but the wallet is still a hot wallet and shouldnt be considered as safe as proper cold storage

Correct, that seed phrase is more secure than a seedphrase generated via a PC or Phone

Yep that makes sense. I only didn’t do that because I have stakes on this account. Tricky stuff this is lol. I’m going to delete my MM on my phone and 2nd computer so that way the only device with my MM is the one that is connected to my ledger

You can't because your staked. Your married to that MM seed until the stakes become mature then you can move them to a different wallet like Ledger with its own device created seed

Yep, your hot wallet is likely uncompromised you're probably good. You would just migrate everything as the stakes end
