How does Casper achieve scaling in the long run —

when there is lots of traffic and transactions on the blockchain and the blocks are getting fuller? Other projects like Cardano, Bitcoin and Ethereum say you need to go off-chain (batch transactions). Solana does not want to do that. How does Casper thing about scaling in the long-run? Will you also use 2nd layer solutions or do you somehow scale at L1 like Solana — Can you please explain? Thank you

Hi there, the team have run models for scaling (e.g. power consumption) with both 100 and 400 validators, at present it is only 100. Hi, the team are working on improving block times (required to improve TPS). For example, following the recent update "The network was made twice faster with the release of Node 1.4.1." https://t.me/casperblockchain/563325 Read more here: http://blog.casperlabs.io/the-casper-network-highway-consensus-protocol

Inofficial answer from somebody running validators: Can't say so much about the TPS race thing but AFAIK there are constantly optimizations and tests done to reduce block time for example and I also remember something about bigger blocks. Also important to know: Casper blocks are finalized and not queued only. Also inter-validator communication isn't counted as transfers - something like this. Also the underlying database/storage is replaced soon with RocksDb including compression which will also reduce disk space: https://github.com/casper-network/casper-node/issues/2623 Sharding isn't implemented yet I think but it could be implemented because of the modular design (just repeating here what I think to remember, no proof for it though). I also heard that there will be archival nodes in the future. Let me know if you have any specific questions 😉

Which one? I contacted you last June for a German group already - I even transferred ownership back than and nothing happened. Last time I was checking it was even free again so I just took it back.
