Validator run the nodes that keep the Kava chain running Here is a list of them https://www.mintscan.io/kava/validators Most charge a small commission. You staked your Kava with them which gives them more voting power The kava remains under your control but you simply delegate your voting power to them (although you can still vote yourself)

Delegate your Kava direct with a validator via Cosmostation , Trust Wallet or Keplr to get around 30% APR in liquid Kava plus 5% in locked Hard and SWP As the rewads are liquid you can immediately delegate these rewards to compound the yield which increases it to around 35% APY which when added together with the Hard and SWP rewards is worth a total of around 40% APY The delegated/staked Kava is subject to a 21-day undelegting period during which no rewards are earned so better for staking periods of over 6 weeks (below that Kracken's 23% APY woudl be better)
