for ex 90 percent is staked then price pump and dump still will happen only based upon whatever amount is available on exchanges right ..so what the point of supply shock is anyways
People buy & sell. Supply sock = less coti available to be sold, same or increased demand
I know that but even with btc if you see most of it is in cold storage ..but still u see pump dump..what i mean is that price fluctuations are only depending upon amount on exchanges
No, price doesnt depend on the amount on exchanges, they got their own reserves, altho coti is being withdrawn from exchanges to be deposited into treasury, thus less coti in exchanges. But the supply held in exchanges has nothing to do with price, its about if someone is willing to sell whatever he/she holds in an exchange.
I understand his point. The amount on exchanges doesn't set the price but it is exchange trading that sets the price and the less that is on exchanges then the less the % of an asset that dictates, superficially at least, the value of that asset. If I create 1 million tokens and 999,999 are held in private wallets untraded then the remaining single token, which everyone is fighting over, trading back and forth, sets the token price and market cap (and hence why market cap is given way more credence than it ought to be imo)
