Hey, no doubt a silly question, If I stake when

it’s worth .50 for 1 year and after that year the coin price is .20, regardless of interest, will I have much less value?
I’d be really banking on the “up and to the right” or the “we double every 47days” theories to make it profitable in short stakes?

Interest is paid in hex. So when price is down more than the interest you get, answer is yes. You have less value. That's why longer stakes are better.
