I mean a whole handful of people have asked for it). It’s time for the FRIDAY NIGHT UPDATE.
Greetings y’all, hope everyone has had a great week. Back at it this week after a battle with Covid. On the docket we have the roadmap: I’m pushing to have something on this by the end of the month. It’s been communicated, it’s been escalated, and it’s understood that this is something the community is asking for (especially given we’re already in March). I had a meeting with Blair earlier this week that turned into a discussion between Baptiste and Blair and myself on this very topic. I’ll continue pushing for some kind of communication on this and maybe even an AMA, given that the last AMA we had was in November.
Infographic: well, I screwed the pooch on this. I gave y’all an ETA of earlier last month because I really thought we were going to have something earlier last month. But this is turning into a bigger project - now we’re looking at building out a glossary and an infographic so we can use this to train new hires. The thought is to streamline that process AND use this material as an FAQ for our community. So… sorry for the delay, but it is being worked on. Done giving ETAs because apparently I can’t tell time.
Speaking of streamlining processes: the community managers held a meeting today to discuss common questions/concerns, figure out how to scale social media, and talk about strategy in general. EthDenver made it evident that we, the community managers, need to be speaking the same language (even when we’re not speaking the same language). Blair is working on an overall plan for the community managers. This will include training, strategy, and one source of truth for all iExec news.
Blair and Nelly met with Quidli this week to discuss payout for community rewards. The big obstacle standing in between payouts and people was KYC. It appears that this has been resolved and I anticipate there being payouts to the past winners in the next few weeks.
I met with Blockworks on the heels of EthDenver about some kind of partnership. Meeting went really well - got some material about how they can support us, sponsorship opportunities, webinars, and basically how to get our name out there - especially in the United States. I’m reviewing this and will be putting a plan together for Gilles and team to review. If you have ideas that are more concrete than “ummm… iExec should market more?” - drop them in this channel.
And finally, speaking of EthDenver, here’s my little write up on the subject. It’s not exactly in the iExec voice, so it’s not the on official site, but it’s my recollection of the event. If this kind of stuff interests you, then I’ll continue posting on Medium. If not… then I guess this will be my only foray into writing about crypto. Maybe I’ll write about ex-gfs, I dunno.
