Today I decided to buy Dash coins and withdraw them

to my Electrum wallet. Launching the wallet, I found that a new version (4.1.5.1) was available for download. Launching dash.org and going to the wallets section, I downloaded the new version of Dash Electrum as usual and installed it. After starting I got the following message:

After I saw this, I immediately closed the wallet, deleted it from my computer, deleted all residual Dash Electrum files, and put my system on a full scan. I want the developers of this wallet to no longer receive funds for their work. I am an anarchist and I do not accept power in any form, and I do not like this war, but I do not want to hear about it anymore! Even opening a cryptocurrency wallet, I see messages about the war! Dash has no place for politics, it's a completely different project! What will happen with the next update?! Funds of Russian users will suddenly disappear from wallets and go to the expense of the war??? (maybe the developers have already stuffed the virus into this wallet and right now it is running on my computer). Therefore, I urge everyone to boycott requests for funding for the Dash Electrum project.

We have currently over 10,000 refugees arriving here at the main train station every day. Gut wrenching stories these people bring with them. I'm sure they would also rather play 🙈🙉 if they could. The team that develops the wallet is in a place that is being bombed by a foreign power. Their lives have forever been changed, and their lives, and those of many they love are in danger of death. Yet, they keep working to provide you with a free, state-of-the-art, open source tool that you and anyone can use to be financially free. It's not the Dash project. It's a private developer, who can do whatever he wants with his personal project. And if you're so against weapons killing people, esp. innocent civilians, then go out in the street and make that very clear to Mr. P who is using YOUR tax money to buy weapons to kill people.

If you don't like Electrum to be listed there, then vote it down. Dash is a decentralized project and the only thing that matters are masternode votes.

It's working out kinda expensive at this stage too imo, great app and it must have taken a lot of work to integrate the more advanced Dash features but it's had a lot of funding. Tbh, I was surprised it wasn't brought up when DCGs funding was brought into question.

if www.dash.org publishes a link to funding the purchase of weapons, then this causes serious damage to the reputation of the Dash project. I think it's important to bring this to the attention of the Dash community.

Well I agree partially. The police has been used by fascist forces, that destroy peoples lives. We have seen it in Europe, we have seen it recently in Canada. What I don’t agree with is, that we should stay out of political conversation totally. Crypto is political. I don’t see a case, where you can avoid a political confrontation. At they end they will drag you into it with a Trump-Putin-experience. Yes, Ukrainians should use a better currency and become free again and independent. But I am also concerned about Russians now. In my opinion they are maybe more in need. What I know at the moment is, that we have many Russian, Ukrainian and other drivers stranded on rest areas in Europe. They have no means to pay due to the sanctions. The food and fuel is running out. They can’t get home cause almost everything has been canceled (trains, flights). Might be a humanitarian crisis in the near future. Might also be an opportunity to spread awareness of Dash. To sum it up: EVERYBODY is in need of decentralized, permissionless and free money, that actually works!
