How does one go about setting up an Orchid node?

Thanks for having an interest in being a bandwidth provider on the Orchid Privacy Network! The partners in our default Curator are selling bandwidth on the network at this time, and staking OXT to do so. The node software is on our GitHub repository. Anyone is welcome to install the software, configure it, stake OXT, create a Curator, and begin advertising it. Node software here: https://github.com/OrchidTechnologies/orchid/tree/master/srv-shared If you are interested in being an official Orchid partner, we would like to learn more about you and what you plan to provide to the network. Please take a few moments to fill out this form: https://airtable.com/shrhFkjd1KAmtrKNY This will help the team determine who to onboard next as a partner.

Thank you. How much Oxt do you need to stake? And is there dappnode package for setting this up? And is the reward paid out based on how many people use your VPN? Or do you get an APY?

Good Morning 😄, Do you know how to settle 👆 problems ? She cnt use when she add the hop to 3unit 😂

Thank you. How much Oxt do you need to stake? And ...

There is no minimum stake required in order to be a bandwidth seller, however we do use a stake-weighted mechanism (as described in the whitepaper) that allots traffic to the nodes with higher stakes first. So in that sense you will want to be competitive in whatever curator you join, unless you create and market your own curator. If you wanted to compete with the existing providers today, you would need around 300,000 OXT. With rewards as per whitepaper, we estimate an average of 20% APY.

I mean this👆👆. She say keep mention connecting and she try few times for disconnect but it still cnt work🤣

Yep Orchid’s is to build decentralized services marketplaces, with anonymous payments, where anyone with the right hardware and software can participate on either side of the supplier-customer equation.

Because it does not have, Orchid is not like the Monoro. It's used by Bandwidth Sellers to Stake and Make The Aviation on the Privacy Network, and by customers to pay bandwidth sellers for the VPN Service.

No OXT is designed for use within the Orchid network - staked by bandwidth providers so they can advertise their service, and by Orchid VPN users on Ethereum so that they show the bandwidth providers they have enough OXT to pay for the service.

Yep i am Vietnamese ,Orchid is not a coin, the name of Orchid's native token is OXT, and OXT is not the service we provide, it's the token used to power the Orchid dVPN . At Orchid we don't discuss the price of OXT or ETH. We only discuss the technologies of VPN , the benefits or all about privacy that Orchid brings.

I appreciate the detailed response. It is good to know about the tickets. I would still argue the number of people who need zero (as close as possible) data leakage is growing rapidly. It extends past criminals these days. The blatant government overreach these days implicates normal people who just care about privacy. And while I do agree there are ways to mask cryptos, even on Eth, none of them are done natively. You have to resort to chain hopping or tornado cash or mixers, all of which have their own flaws. I advocate for XMR payments because it has built in privacy that cannot be moved. It's superior to any of the other methods described previously.
