Do you know if that 80% will be delegated by the team? I hope not...
No. It goes straight to the community pool.
Great news, thanks a lot 👍
I assume the projects who receive the incentives which start to get distributed from May can delegate the kava they receive
If they can't the percentage of the total supply that is staked would fall to around 35-40%
Correct, but unfortunately I think that they can
If the community pool is not staked as Cameron has said then we should see a nice jump in staking yields
I think if the community pool is not staked and the developer incentives once distributed are staked then we should still see a big increase in staking yields I think the staking yields would rise from 32.6% to 35.8% by mid-May (the distribtuion of the developer incentives is due to start at some point in May), but as the amount distributed to developers is still less than 38% of the amount being generated the percentage of Kava staked would fall to below 50% by this time next year, although the higher yields would likely increase this figure The team could also decide to stake some of the community pool is the % fell below a certain level In theory we could reach staking yields of over 40% APY Note these are just theoretical calculations based onb certain assumptions whcih may not be fully correct or could change
Great analysis Darren, as usual. All your assumptions in my opinion are correct, as far as I currently know, of course
Of course it could be that he team are planning to change the 20% inflation rate that goes to Kava stakers based on their posts about "Per-block emissions breakdown: 🔸62.5% to developer incentives 🔸37.5% to stakers and validators" Which would perhaps fix the staking rewards to 30m Kava per year (with 50m per year going to Co-Chain developers)
