this revolutionary concept of funding the token based on usage, transfer to other tokens built on LGCY?
Since Usdl is actually the main token on the network, it’s the gas for all the dapps built on lgcy. Ideally this means that projects should be able to have a more balanced approach to budgeting, especially in terms of paying devs. For example, a project in theory would hold and stake lgcy for a usdl payout and use that for paying their team/devs. I’m turn this should mean they don’t have to sell any of their tokens for self funding. So in a roundabout way I guess it certainly helps the overall health of the projects/network.
I see. That mechanism makes total sense. Same structure as the Dev fund. I wasn't sure if creating a token in general meant you always have to fund your token with millions of dollars. Was wondering if a token can just be created, and then start to be used. Which I guess was my question in being similar to USDL in that Usage will be what will back it.
That really just depends on the nature of its usage. Some apps require a ton of transactions a second and others only a few.
Very true. Okay great, thank you!
